Take your yeast packets and dissolve the yeast in warm water (usually around 110F) per package instructions and let it sit for a few minutes. Even better you can heat some of your wash back up in the microwave to 110f and dissolve it in that. If you do it this way in 15 minutes or so it will start to bubble and form a head like a beer. It is now ready to “Pitch” into the wash.

So you have made sure that your wash is below 100F and then you poured/Pitched your yeast solution into the fermenter. Now you need to aerate the wash so the yeast can grow and do its thing. You can do this by stirring it really violently making a lot of bubbles or as most of us do, use an aquarium aerator (7 bucks wally world) with a stone and aerate the wash with that for 30 minutes or so.
