In the New Distillers Group, we generally send folks—and have been sent ourselves—to Tony Ackland's very informative site, http://homedistiller.org/ . The site is packed with posts from these very groups from a few years ago.

But all too often, the sender (not really a word) winds up right back at the group (not a bad thing), with more questions than answers—most of which are about advanced stuff that most of us never even try during our first year.
